Emission and CEMS

Emission and CEMS

One of the most important problems in our developing world, perhaps the most important, is environmental pollution. To prevent the environmental pollution caused by human activity, the adverse effects of those activities must be brought under control and solutions must be found at source.

Through international agreements, countries aim to prevent pollution in order to control solid, liquid and gaseous emissions released into the atmosphere by human activity, to protect living things from the dangers arising from contamination of the receiving environment, to eliminate the adverse effects that cause significant environmental harm through air pollution, and to keep such effects from arising at all.

In Türkiye too, emission values are kept under control through the regulations, communiqués and circulars in environmental legislation, in line with European Union clean air policies. Emission (flue gas) measurements and Continuous Emission Monitoring Systems (CEMS) carried out under the Environmental Permit are performed and reported in accordance with the acceptance criteria of the legislation.

In addition to emission, CEMS, waste incineration and odour measurements under environmental legislation, Alka Laboratories also serves industrial facilities in process control, efficiency improvement and optimisation. We also take part in joint projects with universities and public institutions.

Through emission and CEMS measurements, Alka Laboratories works on keeping the efficiency of combustion systems under control, achieving energy savings, raising production quality and identifying the important and critical parameters involved in improving air quality.
